GENERAL INFO

The Hungry Turkey is St Louis’ first, and only, Thanksgiving Day Parade 5k. In conjunction with Christmas in St. Louis, The Hungry Turkey presents a fun route for the entire family immediately before the parade. It is also a chip-timed event for all registered adult participants so it’s a race for those looking to compete!

Bring the entire family!

All kids 12 and under are free with each paid adult! New in 2016, kids 12 and under can select to be timed for $5.00! Strollers, walkers and racers…all are welcome! We encourage you to bring the entire family for some fitness and fun before the big feast and stay for the parade immediately following the run. See Santa, enjoy the floats and celebrate the season.

Support a perfectly-suited charity for a Thanksgiving Day Race.

The Hungry Turkey is helping to benefit a perfect charity for this time of year:  Operation Food Search. They are the largest distributor of free food to the community in the entire region. It is completely befitting for the holiday season to help support a charity like this. How do we do it? We run a canned food drive at every Big River Running Company store throughout the entire registration period.  We collect cans from everyone that wishes to donate and if desired, you can ask for a $5 coupon good towards your race registration. We also accept monetary donations during the online registration process with 100% of these dollars going to OFS.

Terms and Conditions.

The terms and conditions of race registration is that all sales are final. There cannot be any changes, cancellations, refunds, transfers or deferrals once registration is complete. Races are inherently complicated to produce and include many logistics including ordering shirts, awards, beverages and other course items that account for participants as they register and cannot be undone.
